Hi,

Just a question regarding educational documents for FSW application. The instructions say to get all educational certificates from secondary education upwards.

Around 15 years ago I took an Access Course to University (this is UK equivalent of GNVQ level III) prior to doing my degree. I cannot find the certificate anywhere, and having contacted the college they have since merged with another college and do not have records going back as far as 15 years ago - so it is now impossible to get a replacement certificate.

I am not the principal applicant (my wife is), and I have my degree certificate and am getting a sealed transcript of this mailed to me. And I have the rest of my secondary education certificated (GCSE), it is just this one certificate I am missing.

If write an explanation about why the Access Course certificate is missing will this suffice?

Thanks.
Wayne.

I hope your explaination will work.

Are you claiming any points for this certificate, for example if it is increasing the adaptibility points for your spouse? If that is the case then you may not get that point in absence of certificate

Will double check but pretty sure the only points I am adding to spouse is my degree, for which I am getting sealed transcript + notarized degree certificate.

The only reason I need it I think is because the instructions explicitly say "Post-secondary education documents: vocational or technical certificates or diplomas;" for which this would be one! Just I know some of the Visa officers can be sticklers for rules to the letter, but since this is not counting for any points I think a note of explanation for its absence should suffice?
