I am finding this forum to be very useful and wondering if anyone has seen a similar case to mine. The details are as follows:

Two years ago, my spouse applied using an agent in China to be a child care worker in Canada. She was denied entry due to misrepresentation and was denied entry for two years, which expired on March 20, 2010.

Our story details are as follows:

Aug 22, 2009 - We met on a matrimonial website for ladies wishing to find a foreign spouse; I sent the first message
Jan 10, 2009 - Visit her and her friends and cousins; toured together for 2 weeks
Sept 6, 2009 - Proposed to her over the phone; she accepted [incidentally my mom's birthday :-)]
Dec 12, 2009 - Visit spouse and spouse's grandmother, parents, uncle and cousins
Dec 20, 2009 - Honeymoon together out of China for 1 week
Dec 30, 2010 - Married in China, no ceremony was held

- I am 38, never married before, no children
- She is 28, never married before, no children
- Both have university degree
- Similar socioeconomic backgrounds
- Communicate in English (although spouse needs a bit of improvement)

I have a good job and a steady income stream where financially supporting my spouse is not be an issue. After we were married, I have been sending financial support for spouse to enjoy life there.

When I was there for the first time and second time, we exchanged some gift. Also sent birthday gifts, etc. throughout this period. From the first date we chatted, I had kept all of our email and chat logs. Also had a lot of pictures of the two times when we were together. When it came to sending the package to CPC-M, IM logs was about 800 pages, emails was another 150 pages and about 130 pictures of tourist sites taken together and marriage photos taken in a studio. Total package weight, 2.9 kg.

Beijing started to process the file on March 22 and sent out a letter on March 29 scheduling an interview on April 8th.

Question:

- Does this seem rather quick in the process that they decide to do an interview?
- Can anyone comment on implications and/or issues that they can see with respect to the previous denial due to misrepresentation?

Any comments and also, ideas on what my spouse needs to prepare for the interview would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
