Is lying in an application for Permanent resident already a form of Misrepresentation?
For example, under the education/work background, you put 'unemployed' when in fact you are employed for a certain period of time before sending the application to the immigration?

p.s. did by one of the people I know.

Lying about anything in the app is misrepresentation.

You lie, you risk misrepresentation. It all depends on how the lie affects the processing of the application and/or how it could alter the final decision.

It's also an incredibly stupid thing to do, as IRCC do their own research and may well discover the truth anyway.

I was wondering the same thing.
Being employed is almost always going to be a positive, unless it was under the table without paying tax or something.

well, their application for permanent resident was approved and they’re already in Ontario.
