If you are just sponsoring your spouse, does the sponsor need to send in all their employment information to prove they are working and do we need to make a specific amount of money for them to accept us as sponsors?

The sponsor needs to submit the requested paperwork, which includes evidence of employment (letter) and an Option 'C' printout. Even though there is no specific financial threshold for sponsorship of a spouse, CIC needs to determine that the couple won't require social assistance.
