Minimum duration of a job position for choosing NOC

Hi There,

Is there any requirement like you have to be in the same position for a minimum time period on a same job position?
I have 5+ years banking job experience, but never played same role for more than 23 months. I am really confused about choosing my NOC.

Hello,

I am not an expert but in order to be eligible for the FSW (Federal Skilled Worker) you need to be experienced in the same position at least for 12 months (1 year)... it means your 23 months is more than enough to qualify... you can combine other NOC codes (meaning your other positions) as long as you have 1 year experience on your primary NOC.... you get maximum points for 3 years of experience for the Express Entry system... so lets say your first job was a 2 year one, and then you have another 1 year experience on another NOC, then you can claim max points for work experience... it also works vice versa....
