I received my ITA recently and I am happy and worried at the same time. I have Military experience and there are some issues related to the same. I was in the service for 6 years continuously. During the tenure I lost my identity card thrice and I was punished with solitary confinement twice. Third time I desrted the service and decided to pursue my graduation. After 4 years of graduation I surrendered myself to take a discharge by dismissal. Now, at the time of surrendering I was working with an organisation (lets say X) from where I took leave saying personal reasons to finish the formalities with military service.
Now according to the certificate from services i was with them while i was working for X (there is an overlapping of 3 months).
Secondly, during the service I was punished with 2 solitary confinements (loss of identity card) and 1 imprisonment (for desertion). Is it going to affect my application badly? Should I mention this in my 'detain history'?
I would like to share the tenures for you to understand the issue
Jul 2002- Jun 2008 in services and deserted in Jun 08.
Sep 08- Sep 12 graduation
June 12 started working with X.
Surrendered in Jul 12 to get dismissed in Oct 12. During this I was imprisoned too for desertion.
How badly this is going to affect my application? How should I put these details in my application? I appreciate all your valuable inputs.
Finally, for PoF, I have a joint FD with my wife. But she is not accompanying me at present. So, is it necessary to be in my name only or is it fine if it is a joint FD?
