Some local office do not update the ECAS so you cannot rely on ECAS for updates. Make sure when you get a reschedule date don't rely on ECAS you might not see it. You may rather call them to find out if you not seeing anything in the mail. You cannot go to the local office on test day without the letter. So its the letter that still stands. I heard it can take months for reschedule and with how the system is you sure don't want to wait long. Remember NEW system coming into play in few months.

May I ask what the changes of the new system is?
Also, how do I +1 to your rating? Is it like a thank you button? If so I'd love to give you a +1

Thanks for your quick replies in my time of panic. I tried other airlines and tried calling and Air Canada only has business for $4k haha I don't have that kind of money atm.
Even $1170 from WestJet was a last ditch attempt even if I don't have the funds but that ship sailed minutes ago...
Ya I guess I'll call in 8am tomorrow morning and see what they have to say.

call centre is opne 5 am PST (8 AM EST). As you are in vancouver, you can call them after 5 am. good luck!

Once you post more than 20 posts then i think you would be able to do the rating which would be on the left side under the person's name

Yup, I was referring to 8am EST. Thanks for the clarification.
Ah, got it, I'm sure I'll have 20 posts by the time I get this all figured out haha

I just read this on the CIC website before coming on to this forum and thought I was in the safe to simply reschedule but after seeing the posts on this forum it seems like it's a big pain in the butt.

Can I reschedule my citizenship test if I cannot attend it?

Yes. If you are not available on the date and time of your citizenship test, the notice inviting you to the test will tell you how to reschedule it.

If this is the first time you have been asked to write the test, we will automatically re-schedule you for a new date if you miss the test.

I got no idea.

So I called in in the morning and they told me I have to write a letter...
Does anyone have a guide to writing a good email to CIC about missing the test.
Just a short letter is alright?

I don't see it there. I was told it would appear after 20 posts so here's just another post to get closer to that goal lol
