My husband has his OWP. He can still go to "class" for his fork lift license right?

Awesome! I'm assuming him going to a trade school would be a no-no for now?

or truck driving school?

I would think he would need a study permit to attend actual schooling for truck driving since it's not really a one time thing.

That's what I thought too. Thanks for the replies, we will just wait out the process, better to be safe than sorry!

Some work permits have conditions prohibiting enrolment in a school or vocational training. Generally, you don't need a study permit if a course is less than 6 months but I'm not sure in your case. Check CIC's website for the exact language and with the call centre.

The OWP does specify right on it that unless authorized hubby is prohibited from attending any educational institution and taking any academic, professional or vocational training courses.....so I think my question is answered lol
