I hope everyone had a happy Christmas and will have a great year in 2011. We still haven't sent in our PR application because it needs a few finishing touches, but my partner is visiting from the U.S. (and has been since last February) and this was our first Christmas together, his first in Canada, and his first "white Christmas" in the last 10 years. We spent it at my parents place, where we will be for the next week and I hope to repeat all of this many more times in the future.

He just got a 1-year extension on his visitor status, so he is good until next November and hopefully should have his PR status by then.
