Hi everyone,
I have a bachelor degree in public relations (not Canadian), I have obtained 1-year of continuous working experience (as a digital marketing specialist), my IELTS score is 8 and I want to immigrate to British Colombia.

I believe that I meet the minimum requirements of the express entry system. However, when I use the wizard, it says that it is not recommended that I apply for the immigration.

Are there actually more criteria and I don't have any chance at all? :-[

The system now is point-based. You have not only to meet requirements, but to be one of the best x potential applicants at a time of a draw. Use the CRS calculator (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp) and if you score more than 400, you might have a fighting chance.

Incorrect. CRS points only matter for receiving an ITA (step 2), but are irrelevant for entering the Express Entry pool (step 1)

OP is stuck at step 1, which means he/she appears to not meet the minimum criteria for any of the immigration programs.

To OP - are you applying under FSW or CEC? If you are applying under FSW, you must also have at least 67 points out of the 100 points in the FSW points system.

Agreed.

It seems more likely that you dont meet the 67 point threshold.

You can also check that you entered the correct amount of funds.
 
Meeting the basic requirement gets you inside the pool. But actually get invitation to apply needs more than that, which is different every time.

If you have less than 470, most likely you are not getting ITA in near future (this is based on 2016 draws). You can get into the pool, but you will be stuck there until point drop enough, or 12 months when the profile expires.

Hence you should look for other class of immigration and not just sit here and hope points will drop (like many fellow members wishfully think it will)
