As I am getting closer and closer to filing my application I have more and more questions. One of my worries is about my medication. Can I fill a US script in Canada? I know a while back people were around here because they are cheaper. But since it was a while ago I'm not sure that it is still possible. Has anyone else tried? As mentioned before in some threads, I have preexisting conditions and on state inurance so I am worried about coverage. I can't get my fiance's through his work because I cannot get Medicare. Should I ask the pharmacies specifically?
Thanks all.

It would depend on the pharmacy if they are will to take a prescription from your American doctors. I know my wife was not able to fill a Mexican doctors prescription here. I think it is because they call the doc office to check. But dont quote me on that.

From my experience with my great-aunt, a Canadian doctor will have to validate the prescription first.

You could try to get your doctor in the states to call it in.
I work for an animal hospital and we regularly call American pharmacies to refill meds for our clients who are there during the winter. Now those are pets, but they are still prescriptions. You could always call a local pharmacy and see.

Ok. I see my doctor soon. I'll ask. I think I'll call some pharmacies too.
