Does a history of mental illness and suicidal ideation grounds to fail a medical for a study permit? I indicated this when doing my medical and I was curious, I have Docs proving I am no longer with depression for over a year.
There's probably no simple answer to it but if the illness is considered a recurring risk, they will evaluate if it can create an excessive demand on health care system. Decision will be made based on that.
I am no expert. Good luck!
While submitting I did indicate a history of mental illness before the medical request was given. Stating it in the medical check was like repeating. Thoughts? Plus what's the cost on the healthcare system? If this would exceed the requirement.
