MEDICALS...VISA EXPIRATION...please HELP!!

hi, if anyone could help me, that would be great!

we got confirmation through email that our visa expires in december 2010 but since we are unable to travel to canada before that, we are going to be doing the medical exam again. Can we do the medical exam before December (before it expires)?

Also do we then have to wait almost another whole year to enter Canada or basically we can leave whenever we want. (ie do we have to wait for an email saying ok...its time now that u can leave or do we just assume that we have until November 2011?)

I think you have to land before the visa expires. Otherwise your application is canceled and you have to start the entire immigration process from scratch. Which program did you apply under? Family? Skilled worker?

You definitely have to contact the visa office and ask about getting your visa extended by redoing your medicals. Don't just assume you can.

If they issue the visa, it's use it before the expiry date or lose it.

Remember you can land in Canada, then leave again in order to wrap up your affairs outside Canada without any problems. You only have to be in Canada 2 years out of 5 after you become a PR.
