Hi everybody!

do i need to do the medicals before sending my initial application or after?

if i do before how long before and if i do it after how long after?

Thank you!

What kind of an application are you filing?

If it is a spousal application you need to have the medicals sent in with. You might beable to send the application in without but they will put the application aside while they ask, and wait, for you to get the medical done and sent in.

The medical exam is only good for 1 year so if your application is not processed and the applicant unable to land within that time the medicals will need to be redone.

I think it depends on the country you are applying through. In the US, you need to do the medicals before you send in the application, but in other countries, they will notify you when they want the medical information (at least that's what I have gathered). I think this depends, in part, on the processing times at your visa office.

No, for ALL spousal sponsorship applications, the medical must be done before you submit the application to CIC Mississauga assuming it is outland processing. The medical is valid for one year.

thanks for your answers, but sorry i forgot some details, that may change the answer.
