Hi there, when I was applying for student permit, I am required to undergo medicals. I have it last January this year and we were planning to apply for PR on December. My question is, do I need to have another medical? The validity of my medical is until January 26, 2016 and We will apply for PR on the second week of December.

You will likely need to undergo a new medical exam, because yours will expire ~ 1 month after you submit your sponsorship application.
CIC can sometimes extend the validity beyond the 1 year, but seem to only do so when the expiry is close to the end of the PR process. In your case, your medical will expire near the beginning.
