Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if someone had the answer to this one. My husband is doing his medicals on Friday in Cape Town, South Africa although we are applying through the Paris office because of his Portuguese nationality. In S.A they are now electronically filing the medical results to CIC and the appropriate office. The question however is this. His two children 17 years and 19 years and who are NOT accompanying will also do medicals as is required (although rediculous) however they only have South African Nationality. Is this going to pose a problem for our application? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

This will not be a problem as medicals can be done anywhere in the world by a panel physician
Good luck

There is unlikely to be a problem. The medical results are sent electronically by the panel doctors to Ottawa. There is a barcode on the document which the panel doctor will give your husband and the children after the medical. Those documents are sent by you with your application to Mississauga who will access the medicals via the barcode and send them in due course electronically to Paris. At least that is what I expect will happen!

As long as you go to the CIC designated panel doctors listed on their CIC website it should not be a problem. Medical can be done anywhere in the world so long it is a CIC approved doctor.
