So I'm going to be sending in my Outland App in April or so, but I'm thinking of having my medicals now just to get that out of the way seeing as they are good for one year.

I know you are supposed to bring your glasses or lenses. My problem is that I have lost mine! I can't find them ANYwhere! I never used them anyway, but I do have some slight astigmatism that even though it doesn't bother me in my day to day life, it would certainly show in an eye exam. I know this sounds dumb, but is this going to be a problem with my medicals? Having astigmatism? Anybody know? :o

They didnt check my husbands eyes. Different doctors seem to do different things but if it was me I wouldnt even mention the astigmatism.

Make sure you have glasses if you can not pass the basic reading chart test without them. also I would waite and do your medicals closer to when you are going to submit the application. Remember the application process can take longer than you think and they are only good for 1 year. It is better to delay the medical a few months and more than likely not needing to worry about redoing the medical. Redoing a medical is expensive and a hassle. Hope this helps.

thanks guys.

I just figured as long as my medicals are still good by the time they get around to checking them it should be okay.. I guess if it HAS been over a year since your exam by the time they get to it, you will be asked to have it again. Urghh.

Will wait til March then! :) Now I need new glasses.. :'(
