How many days after you have submitted your application to sponsor spouse do they ask for the medical ?

I can't really say...did you not provide one up-front with your application?

Medical results are good for one year after issue. As long as your appointment with a CIC Panel physician (the list is on their website), you should be fine if you're sending in the application soon after.

Ok thanks alot! And you know it tells us to submit a copy of the national id card so do we just send a photocopy of it ? Or do we need to do anything else with it?

Hi

I am in Canada as a student and about to get married and also my visa expires next month. Can I have the medical check here since I am already here? The doctor in my country is way too far from where I live

A photocopy would be sufficient unless it explicitly tells you to send the original. The police check, for example, requires the original.

Hi MrD,

Yes you can :) Just visit any of the CIC panel doctors and bring what they require (usually 4 photos and your ID, but contact them to be sure).

Thanks man! Also do you recommend to it after or before the weeding?

Do it as close as possible to the date you are sending in your application. The med exam should be the last thing that you do before sending in the file.
