hi have a question , don't know if anyone has an idea . so i have been told by the doctors that it will be difficult to have a child using my own eggs due to some medical situation I have so now i want to use my sister or rather yet my cousin who is back in Africa as my egg donor for my husband and I because I want the egg am carry to at least have my family GENES , so I wanted to know what kind of visa will I apply for her to come over to Canada so she can be our egg donor? and what document will be needed

First of all I would research egg donors and what is allowed in terms of reimbursement. The rules are pretty strict. Have you actually tried to get pregnant naturally for at least a year, then done multiple tests to assess you and your partner’s fertility? Have you tried to do an egg retrieval? Does your ovarian reserve number show that you wouldn’t be a candidate for egg retrieval? Your cousin will have to show that she has strong enough ties to prove that she will return home once the egg retrieval has been done, that she can afford to travel and take time off to come to Canada. This is where you need to research what you can cover and what you can not cover based on Canada’s strict rules when it comes to compensation of an egg donor. You will then have to show that you have savings necessary to undertake the fertility journey and provide a breakdown of the cost and procedures by the doctor. You will have to show that you have the funds to pay for any medical emergencies since things like complications from overstimulation are pretty common.
