Hi, I attended for my medical today. I am uk based applying under the FSW PR 2014.
I have a history of depression, experienced age 17, two week admission and In remission for 19 years with no input other than my gp prescribing two medications. I have been in work for 10 years and studied for 5 years beforehand.
I had to sign 'no' to 2 of the questions:- prolonged illness/long term medication and psychiatric disorder.
I have been honest throughout the process in terms of diagnosis and medication and felt fine about it.
However the Dr said that the medication may 'flag' and 'I may be declined or have a further medical assessment'.
Can anyone offer advise from personal experience? My spouse came straight through with a 'A grade'.
It would seem harsh to be declined, am I worrying over nothing?
Thanks!
