Hi,

I am sponsoring my 7 year old daughter from the dominican republic. Last week she got asked for a medical which she did. Now on ecas it says medical received. Does this mean she will be approved for permanent residence? If she is how long till se gets asked for passport. Thanks

Yes, she is your daughter... and will be approved..
Every visa office have different timelines, but your case
will have no problem.

I sponsored daughters from my previous marriage they got approved....

The mother need to sign a paper allowing them to travel though....
giving you the custody of the girls....

That will come later....

Hi Peachy,

There is a group on Facebook called Dominicano Spouses with lots of people and families. There are a few members who are waiting on sponsorship for children or step children. One lady also just submitted the medical for her step daughter. There is another woman sponsoring her husband who submitted her redo medical 2 weeks ago and still waiting for the passport request. Hopefully it is not much more than 2 weeks.
