My husband and I want to apply for a spouse sponsorship.
We have married two days ago and my husbands flight back to Canada is in less than two weeks.
My flight is in one month and I have got an appointment at a designated doctor here in Berlin. I am not sure now, wether we are going to send our papers here or in Canada. Could I nevertheless go to the doctor to have myself examined, or would I need to fill out other forms (the doctor needs to know the kind of papers in advance). I know that there are two kinds available. appendix and selection a, or something. We would like to proceed as fast as possible for my studies, but I dont want to have to do the test twice because it was the wrong ...

Has anybody an answer to my question if it is the same medical test categorie (appendix, or selection) if I present my demand in Berlin or in Canada?

Thank you in advance

If you have an appointment with a doctor already in Berlin then you should just do it there as there is no quarantee your wife will get into Canada to stay while the process is in.And there is a form in the application for medicals you need to bring to the doctor with photos.

Not sure if you know this, but you cannot just go to any doctor, you need to check the CIC website to find a designated doctor, who is authorised to do the examinations. You will find a list of doctors in the CIC site.
You can do it in Berlin or Canada, and it is the same test and paperwork though.
Good luck.

Very important.

Also remember that the medical results are only valid for one year. If you are not planning to submit your application for a while (possibly due to waiting for criminal record checks) then you may want to wait. The medical can be done anywhere as long as the doctor is designated on the CIC website.
