Since my parents were to extend their visit visa, i thought of having them take upfrontT medical since i'm expecting the request for PR medical to come soon, which now we received. So we already started their medicals here in Toronto since 3 weeks or so ago though not yet finished.
Now my question, Has anybody's parents been asked for additional test during medical exam? Today my father is being asked for a cardiologist report which includes several test like echocardiography, resting ecg, exercise ecg, cardiac ecg and nuclear test. They are here in canada on visit visa, I still don't have the exact cost but after checking a few from the Internet those tests costs a fortune! We may end up paying about $5000. Back home he was not asked to do these tests, he had medical before he came here in Dec 2013.
I'm thinking of changing different doctor to see if they will require the same thing... Though I'm not sure if it's a good idea...I just thought I have the option to change, since the current medical exam has not been submitted yet and I can request to just close the file...I know I have to risk him being asked the same test again plus new medical fee cost...Any thoughts?....thanks.
