Hi Everyone,

I got Invitation To Apply (ITA) last week.

When does the medical test happen for PR category?

Is it before one submits the form for ITA ? or after submission of application ?

Regards

You can submit the application then proceed for upfront medicals.

You need to get it done before submitting your application. If due to some reason you are not able to do it before submission, you need to attach a proof that you have scheduled your medical or what was the reason you did not do it upfront.

That is incorrect unless you are applying under spousal sponsorship program. Check the guidelines for the 2 options, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

For Express Entry, you need up front medicals.

1. EE applicants now do upfront medicals, and sponsored spouse no longer do upfront medicals. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5525ETOC.asp
