All, I have a special case and need some help. My application is 9 years now.Somehow, I and my family had a medical in November, 2008, but my wife was pregnant. She had the X-ray with abdominal shield. CHC did not see the results until baby arrived. They apologised and we added baby and they sent the medical. We went to the DMP and, she said the slightly swollen navel is umbilical hernia but baby is ok.We explained that the clinic said its o.k and will disappear as baby grows. She said no, Canada does not take people with swollen navel. She issued us with a letter to our GP. Warned us that she does not want a letter from our GP but from a specialist detailing what plan they have for the baby. She said she will not send the report back to CIC until we have gotten the specialist to write her the letter. She said CIC is aware and approves of her withholding the result.
Twists and Turns: We went to the GP and after examining the baby, the GP said no action required. We begged that he issues us with the referral with the specialist, he said appointments are not for healthy and normal babies. We begged for him to write the DMP, he agreed but said its not a priority but will do in a week's time. We went to the Central University hospital and they examined the baby and repeated that the navel does not require any attention. They issued a letter to the DMP stating that the navel does not require any attention and that they cant refer a healthy and normal baby .We also went to the hospital where he was born, they said they can't see any hernia and that no action is required and that they can't refer us.We reported back to the DMP and she replied angrily in all caps saying she has sent it, and warning that we should not communicate her again. We are now stuck in the middle, not sure what she sent to CIC. We have written CIC but they are yet to reply.Baby is just 2 months. What do we do?

Do you have copies of all the tests saying baby is healthy and normal? If yes, you can make copies and send them in with your file number. If you doctor already sent them, immigration will just get them again, if she didn't, then you are covered too.

Everything with the baby is ok. Just that the DMP expects a flat Tommy. But being that baby was less than two months then, his navel is swollen a bit but not what any objective person would worry about. That is also the only thing the DMP is complaning about. I have a copy of the letter from the specialist Children's clinic. I will forward that to CIC. Thanks
