Hi
I'm new here. I have had inguinal hernia for some time now. It hasn't affected me a lot but I was advice to get it operated which I failed to do as my work involves a lot of travel. I have got my medical request and i'm really worried now?

1) do they check for hernia?
2) Is it a problem if they detect it?
3) Is it a cause for rejection ?
4) Do I need to undergo surgery before doing medicals?

Please help. I am really worried.

Hernia is not a condition that causes medical disability.
They r looking for any contagious or chronic diseases that causes continous medical treatment.
Most probably DMP will not find out about hernia but if he does find it ,it,ll be not a problem.
Good luck.

Thanks you for your reply. I'm so relieved to here that. A few others told me that I would have to undergo surgery before I would be cleared by DMP for medicals. I was intending to get the surgery done before leaving for Canada. My worry was being unable to do it before medicals.
