Hello everyone, well I got a call from the vo who is in charge of our case, they called me to notify me if my husband can leave to canada by wednesday, but we cant as I and our baby are here with him so the lady said we will send medical forms so your husband can redo his medicals, now my question is after he does his medicals how much longer does he have to wait to recieve his passport with visa, I would like to know with how much time am I dealing with, so we can start packing and start selling are stuff, as well I would like to know if I should send a prepaid enevelope back to them in the envolope with passport and receipt, thank you in advance, and good luck for all those still waiting :)

It can take anywhere from 8-12 weeks after a medical re-do for them to issue a visa, from what I have read of other's experiences. It depends on how efficient the DMP and regional medical centre are in sending off and uploading the medical results respectively. Then once the visa officer gets the new results, assuming he or she is on the ball and requests them soon after you send in the form to show you have done the new medical, they have to turn around the passport with the visa so it can be sent back to you.

As for sending the prepaid envelope, if the IO you spoke with mentioned this as being an acceptable way to get it returned, then there should be no problems with you doing so.

oo damm thats a lot 8-12 weeks, as for the vo am dealing with I have heard from them approx a month they get visa with passport but I guess like u said it depends on the dmp and medical centre I just hope it doesnt take long first its becaue soo lil time to travel and now I feel like am gonna be stuck here forever lol, o well I guess am just gonna have to wait :( again lol thanks charlieD10 for always being so helpful and responding asap, good luck to you I hope u hear some good news soon :)))

You're welcome, and thank you. :)

Look at it this way, however much time it is, you're on the straightaway headed for the finish line now (to use a race metaphor). This gives you enough time to get organised and do a proper leave-taking, plus put things in motion for your arrival in Canada. So, while you're waiting for that letter, start making your lists of what goes, what stays, who needs to know that you're leaving, how many people you're inviting over for the parties (plural, one for leaving and one for arriving!) and all that good stuff.

You've got beginnings to plan, hop to it! :D

ya soo true lol like I think to myself if I lasted here 8 months why would another or 2 do plus I can organize myself way better and take things with calm my husband is happy but he feels he hasnt gotten apporved until he has the passport with visa stamped but the lady I spoke to said he needs a new medical since he cant leave wednesday so we can issue the visa, but dont long this will take but at least am near the end :) and party I dont think financially I can but I know my hubbys family will like probally kill a cow or pig lol :)
