My husband receive the request for new medicals on Aug 21.. he had the medical done on Aug 24th. I know the DMP sends the results to Delhi, but my question is does my husband have to send in any proof that he had it done like a receipt or something? It doesnt say in the letter if he had to send in a receipt or not so I am worried. They gave him 45 days to have the medical done, does that mean they wont check the file until the 45 days are up? I was really hoping he would be here by Canadian Thanksgiving.

Don't count on him being here by Canadian Thanksgiving - our appeal was allowed in January and I am still waiting on PR status. After our medical redo, I faxed a copy of the receipt to the embassy with information that I was waiting on my criminal clearance redo and would forward the originals of both as soon as the PC arrived (which I got today, actually). If they only asked your husband for a medical redo, courier the original receipt to the embassy (KEEP A COPY!). They need to know (just like with the original medical) to request the results from the Regional Medical Centre where the DMP sends them. They won't know they're there unless you notify them that the medical was completed.

Whether they wait the entire 45 days to request/review the results, or ask for them as soon as they get notification that the medical was completed, probably depends on how busy they are. They're supposed to give applications being reprocessed because of allowed appeal priority - but I have yet to see any indication that they actually do that.

Yah thats what I thought. How else would they know that he did the medical unless he sends in the receipt? There was no instructions in the letter so my husband felt there was no need to send anything off, but I didnt agree. So I will get him on that tomorrow. Thanks alot for answering. I had been trying to find things out but couldnt seem to find anything. I had to be asking things if they already were asked, at the end I was going cross eyed trying to read and research things.

They had sent the letter to him my registered mail instead of regular mail which I thought was pretty strange and told him to get the medical done and it would expedite our case. I dont know what that means but we did it ASAP, so now I think he should send it off otherwise if they revist our case they will not know we had it done. I will get him to copy it and send in the original thanks so much. :)

Ps. I wonder if it can be faxed? sorry you already answered that. its my tired crossed eyes ;D
