I have recently received my immigration visa and was planning on leaving my home country to go to Canada in April... Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with a medical condition (after I got my visa) which could be deemed to put excessive demand on the canadian health care system.

What do I do now? Do I inform the visa office? Will they take away my visa given the fact that I have not landed yet?

Multiple Sclerosis ... But the doctor said it was not conclusive but rather highly likely and I need to wait and see if I get another attack.

I don't think it matters what the diagnosis is.

You have your visa and have been approved to land as a PR. You don't need to notify CIC of your change in health. You just need to land as planned.

I just asked the diagnosis because of he admitted he has serious health problem. Suppose if it is any kind of contagious disease, he should delay his travel at least up to a safe period, till the validity of his visa.

In other cases, I have the same opinion as scylla.
