I am a little confused about the photo requirement and the medical exam. We spoke to the DMP and made an appointment for the 13th of September. We said bring TWO photos and that our form should have the visa office's stamp on it (to make it go faster?). Our DMP said we can do it without the stamp but, the stamp from Paris make the application process quicker. Our VO is Paris, we have an Embassy here in Switzerland, but they do not handle PR applications. I am really confused. How would we have a stamp if we have not filed the application yet?

Also in the "Immigrant's Guide" they say to bring FIVE photos to the medical appointment. Um, what? Also they do not specify any kind of official stamp for the pictures, I am an amateur photographer and know my way around Photoshop and have a white backdrop. I can easily make photos that conform to the specifications in the guide. Do you think that is ok? Argghh. This process is very frustrating and I feel like I am negotiating a mine field, where any mistake I make will void our application.

I can't help with the official stamp question, but from my experience you will need more than 2 photos for the DMP, especially if you have to go elsewhere for the x-ray. Go ahead and prepare more, take the guide with you to show that you were instructed to bring 5. Hopefully another forum member will know exactly how all the photos are used.

Hi etoile!

Try calling a different DMP. Mine was very confusing too, they even called us back requesting more pictures and they were convinced that medicals were ALWAYS done AFTER submitting the application! I wish I had contacted another DMP that had more experience and was not as lost as ours.
My suggestion is just calling a different DMP and see what they tell you. The official stamp requirement sounds completely weird. There are no additional stamps that would speed up the process.

Hope this helps!
