recently I have being infected by Hepatitis B.can't i pass my pr medical exam?plz help.im so much worrying now.If I fail first time will they call me for re medical after some times?

If you fail, you should get a specialist opinion stating your future prognosis. If you are denied your immigration, you can appeal based on that your condition is not as serious as they think it is. I remember a lady who was appealing such a decision. She was planning on showing that she had the funds to meet the cost of medication she would need in the future and/or private insurance to cover the same. She has not been back to say how that turned out though.

thanks a lot...if i failed my medical will they call me for re medical later?coz lab said to heal Hep B takes 6 months by my body itself.if immgration called me for medical is there any dead line we should show up or we can take time for medical test?

Dear Frank,

I believe yours and mine case are some how similar. I am called for the medical test however, am a bit nervous as I had Hepatitis B which I believe is still there and per doctors saying, it won’t get back to Negative since it is of chronic type. However, per their instructions, I don’t need to worry and I shall stop taking any medicine as far as Hepatitis B concern. I was looking at CIC website where I found that, the candidate shall tell about any serious sickness they had in past, any surgery they undergone or any physical disability. Now I am a bit afraid, whether I shall tell them about my sickness? I have a Hepatitis doctor (Specialist) report, where it is clearly mentioned that the patient disease is not thread to anyone.

Just want to have your thought, how you went through this situation?. Did you inform your doctor?

Cheers,

Arise

Hi Frank,

I havnt done my Medical yet but am planning to do it in early next month. just for your information, i met a CIC DMP and had his advise. he mentioned that we we will to the test and if we found Hep B then we will ask you to do PCR (that i beleive shows the quantity and activness of the virus) and if we found there negative, our recommendation would be all ok. Hope this help.

Cheers,

Hi Arise,

Thanks a lot for your reply.I still didn't gett my medical call.most probably end of this month.still don't know what too do.Do you think we should tell doctor first that we already have Hep B or better keep silent to find them?coz i heard they mostly check HIV and syphilis.I recently did my blood work for check my liver and doctor said its ok.do you have any idea what they check by blood work?

Any way your reply is very important and help a lot to my mind. Please keep in touch and do let me any update. All the very best for your medical Arise.

Cheers.

Re hepatitis - get the results and keep the VO informed.

You must remember that under the Immigration Act it makes it very clear that the role of CIC is to

(h) to protect public health and safety and to maintain the security of Canadian society;

With that said it is better to ask directly at the Embassy for it seems like a case by case issue.

If you need any more help just ask.

hi caipsfasttracker,

My hepatitis B case is acute.but nurse sadi i should wait for 6 months to clear it by my body itself.while this period if immigration medical call me what i should do?should i tell the doctor about hepatitis or better keep silence? do they check hepatitis for immigration blood works?coz it says HIV 1 and 2,syphilis,urine and kidney disease.hepatitis is a liver disease.so should i worry or not?

Hi Aris

Did you do the medical test already?plz do me update whats going on...thanks.

Hi Frank,

Yes, went through the session today. Told them very truthfully that i am infected by Hep B and it is of Chronic type. Then the doctor told me to deposit some more money for LFT's (Don't really know about this test) and Hep Age. I asked whether they had any similar case, She replied they do receive lots of such cases, when i insisted do you know what happened to their cases, she said not really else i would have briefed you....

I will keep you posted if gets any feedback..

Stay well,

Arise
