Hi all, can you please help me and give me some ideas what to do. My inland application is on process but I did not include my medical exams but I was thinking that if I could take my medical exam and just forward it to them do I need anything to take with me to the medical clinic? What about my son in thr philippines does he able to do the same thing? How?
Im hoping to hear any feedback back any of you who has more knowledge regarding the medical examination process.

THANK YOU!l

Hi,
I went through the medical exams last month for the second time for my landing Interview and as far as I know it is best to have an IME number assigned to your name on a IMM1017 so they can get your results quickly through the E-medical system.
For example I took the test on December 3rd and found out a month later that they were already approved and in the system on December 7th.
I think that there is another option which is upfront medical test in which they(medical office) create a UMI number for you in the clinic and it is best if you send the immigration office the number assigned to you(make sure the office uses e-medical system).

Hi thank yoi for the reply. I dont even know what is IME and UMI stands for.
so did yoy have medical exams together with your application?

Yes I did back in 2011.They kept extending it but eventually I had to take another one as it has been 2 and a half years.
IME is the medical number associated with your file on the application.
When CIC looks for your file it looks up for the IME number in the database trough the e-medical system..
UMI is an upfront medical test which means for example:I didn't have a IME for them so the medical office created a UMI and IME for me.

I took the test on December 3rd and on December 7th it was already approved by the panel of physicians and in the system.

Good luck.
