Hi,
Could someone from Bay Area help me in choosing doctor for my medical examination. There are two doctors:
1. Clarence P. Allegakoen, MD, Mountain View, CA
2. Thomas Stern, Berkeley Family Practice Med. Grp, Berkley, CA

There is Dr. Timothy Fitzer, Berkley as well but i read a few negative reviews abt him so not considering him.

Does anyone has any experience with any of these doctors.
Thanks for help.

I have read similar negative reviews about Dr Stern on Yelp and other places. I have a similar question on choosing doctor. Remember reading a post that Dr Seymour meyers in Solano beach ( LA) was charging 200 $ and gave good service(read it in the CIC thread ) . I did call Dr Clarence and his quote was for 450$ per head and also not sure on the reviews.

If you find some additional information , please do update here it would help the bay area applicants.

I found some useful information from Jasper on the other thread for doctors in LA. It might not be a bad idea to drive down to LA.

especially looking at the scary reviews for the doctors in bay area...if they bungle up the forms etc :'( it can put back the AOR process by quite a bit .....and LA doctors seem to be charging much less compared to the bay area ones.

Hi Manny,

I'm sorry that I haven't posted any message recently. I've been busy with my work, and updating our timeline spreadsheet was all I could do for this forum these days.

And regarding the DMPs in Los Angeles area, I called some DMP offices and found some information (btw I haven't received AOR/Medical Request yet):

Name of DMP: William F. Brath (Expresscare Medical Clinic: near LAX)
Address: 8930 Sepulveda Blvd. #200, CA 90045-3624
Phone: 310-641-8111
Fee: $302 (Exam: $242 + Shipping: $60)

Name of DMP: Earla Quisido (Downtown area)
Address: 1626 West Temple St, CA 90026
Phone: 213-483-8300
Fee: $320 (Exam: $280 + Shipping: $40)

Name of DMP: Steven Gitlin (Downtown area)
Address: 2010 Wilshire Blvd, CA 90057
Phone: 213-413-5444
Fee: $230 (includes everything) (Express shipping is available)

I'm in West LA area, so I'll probably go to Expresscare Medical Clinic near LAX for my medical. Also, when I called this clinic (last week), there was no long wait for medical exam (We can schedule an appointment just one or two days before the exam).

Gents,

I'm currently here in SFO particularly bay area, and still doing some research and gathering much needed info about DMP in the area and hoping to find one with good reviews. I am also considering driving all the way down to LA if needed. Any Inputs are highly welcome. Thanks.
