Hi Everyone

I am 42 years old and posted my permanent resident application in April 2006, having been advised to be honest about my medical history - years of depressive episodes, recently markedly seasonal and treated with antidepressants. However I am also a highly productive medical research scientist with a continuous employment record. Now I have been diagnosed with type II diabetes which is treated by diet and exercise (I'm as thin as a bean pole !).

I love Canada - having visited five times and can't imagine living anywhere else. Does anyone know if the medical will jeapordize my application? I know the examiner will assess the likely cost of future treatment against the Canadian average but does anyone have a similar experience - after all both depression and diabetes seem to be rife these days !

Hope someone can shine some light on this one !
