Hi everyone,

I just got a short question. Our medical is about to expire in about a week, but on the ecas, I see that they've received our Medical result...does this mean that our medical is ok and won't be asked of again even if they approve our application AFTER the medical has expired?

Or...gulp, will they ask us to redo it again.

P.S. It's an outside sponsorship application if that makes a difference.

Thank you in advance,
Mushroom

That depends of how fast they will issue your visa, after the medicals were recieved at the Embassy usually it takes for another 2 or 3 weeks until they asking your passport, my guessing is they will ask you again to redo your medicals, your medicals have to be valid even when you are landing in Canada.

I suggest to send them an email and ask, most of the time they answer you very fast, then you will know for sure what to do.

Best of luck!

Hey Mushroom, waste NO time- unless you get your visa in before it expires and you can fly out this week- REDO your medicals.

On the CIC website, it says that when a person does their landing, their medicals CANNOT be expired! If the embassy have your passport already, I would contact them as soon as possible, if not then go ahead tomorrow or soon, to re-do the medical, and just send it in
