Hi,

I am a Canadian P.R. I sponsored my wife under family class (outside Canada). She is in India.
We received File number, acknowledgment, confirmation of eligibility to sponsor.
On Oct25th, we received a request to get medical done, with a timeline of 30days.
But my wife is pregnant and expecting in end of December/Early January. I consulted the doctors we are consulting, and it is not recommended to get an x-ray done as much as possible.
I tried calling CIC, but because of the high volume of calls, they are not able to transfer us to a helpdesk.

Any help on what to do, with a possibility to defer medical is appreciated.

Thank you

You can notify IRCC that your wife is pregnant and have her complete the entire medical except for the x-ray. IRCC will then put her application on hold. Once she has the baby, she can do the x-ray to complete her medical. You will also need to add your new child to the application. IRCC will then complete processing for the application.
