I had my medical done on April 6 but it still has not updated in the system. The 30 days is up soon - is there a way to extend so they don't think i've just blown it off? I have the receipt from when I did my medical..

The 30 days is the date you must just actually go to have the medical done, doesnt matter if they dont have the results within 30 days.
Have you checked with the physician if they've uploaded the results? The doctor I saw took 8 days to send the results to IRCC, but once that was done the medical line in my application status on my 'MyCIC' account changed to show the results passed within a day.

I tried calling the Medical place.. They told me it takes 2 weeks for them to upload. I will call again tomorrow to see what's happening.
My 30 days is up tomorrow.. So I'm freaking out that I haven't had it updated yet! I had the medical done on the 6th!
Don't freak out, it's fine. As said above, the 30 days is the deadline to have the medical done, which you did. IRCC knows it can take time for results to be obtained, uploaded and to show in the system. Some places even still use the paper system and have to physically mail the results out, so that can take weeks extra.
When you paid for the medical, did you get a receipt? This would be proof that you did the medical which you could submit through online webform.
you could always send a web form message with a note that the medical was done, and upload the information sheet if you have it.
Don't freak out, you've not done anything wrong and as mentioned, doctors can sometimes take a while to send results and IRCC knows this. You can proactively inform them the results are coming, but by having the medical exams done on time you've done your part.
My wife had her medical last week and the 30 days was up yesterday. Still waiting on CIC to update. Not worried at all though, the doctor told us it would take up to 2 weeks for the all the results, and that there would be no problem as it was only the medical that had to take place within 30 days. Its all on computer, pretty sure CIC can all ready see when the medical was completed the day it occurred, they just cant update until all the results are in.

It’s most likely this is an unnecessary step and your results are coming but if it gives you peace of mind then you can go through this process.
