Hi,

i got medical exam request two weeks ago. Does it mean i am going to get my PR if i pass the exam?

Thanks

no it does not. there are still other checks such as eligibility which checks your relationship, security and criminality. once all those have passed and officer is satisfied, your PR will be granted

so the procedure of family sponsorship is different from express entry, right? because i remember my wife's immigration process, medical exam is the last step. After that, she got her PR card.

i am not familiar with the EE process.... what i mentioned above is for family class.. generally it is requested at the beginning of the process

Medical generally comes relatively early in the spousal process.

Not currently though, last I read here it seems April applicants are waiting on or only just getting medical requests?

Any May applicants got medical requests?
Yes, hence why I said generally. It's likely going to be impossible to answer this question without knowing where the application is at. If they request medical later on but BGC hasn't started, expect some months wait, etc etc..you know how it goes ;)

It seems to be different for inland and outland applicants.

Outland applicants generally receive their meds request extremely early on. Inland applicants seem to receive them closer to the end (not at the very end, just much later).

Hello, I have applied for PR with family from Canada. We have received a letter from IRCC asking us do the medical tests, pay the right of PR fee etc. Last week we have completed medical exam and paid the fee. May I know what are the next steps and when can I expect PR cards information from IRCC?
Sincere thanks to all
