Hello all. I am in the process of applying for a Study Permit. I would like to know if a request for either a Medical Test or Biometrics from IRCC mean approval of the application? Although I will be applying with a Medical Test in advance as per my lawyers advice.

Thanks

No, unfortunately it does not mean approval, they are both required as part of the application process.

Thank you. How does SDS work? Do I have the option of getting a counterfoil on my passport after it has been approved or do I get landing paper only?

You require a TRV to travel to Canada, so of course you would have to get the counterfoil.

Thank you. Just to summarize and confirm, biometrics and Medical test is part of the SDS process and doesn't guarantee a positive outcome? I will need a counterfoil on the passport to travel to Canada, but I wont be given a Study Permit and that will be issued when I land in Canada. Correct?

When I apply do I have to send passport along with the application or will I be requested for it after its been processed? Does that mean a positive outcome?

Thanks
