Hello mga kababayans. :) finally, my ita and have already arrived, thank God. Now, for the medical exam, other than saint luke's, where did you guys avail the exam and what are your experiences? isnt it crowded and expensive in saint lukes? Please share your experiences. :)

The price is the same for St. Luke's and IOM.

People prefer IOM if they would rather set an appointment or are in the Makati area. It's walk-in only at St. Luke's.

I preferred St. Luke's BGC because there's plenty of parking and you can pay by credit card or check (unlike St. Luke's Ermita). It's cash only at IOM.

No problem with crowds either, I guess it depends on the day you go.

But i saw in forums that iom have negative feedbacks. :/ sa saint lukes ba sure ba na matatapos within a day?

Wala kasing gaanong tao last month (June 8 )nung nagpamedical kami.

Yes same day rin ako sa St Luke's BGC, best to go there by 7:30 so you're sure to be one of the first and can finish within the day.

But you'll be made to do additional tests for 3 days if there's a history of TB or they find a scar in your lungs.

Magkano po total cost ng medical exam? I'm reading different rates kasi (probably because some people took additional tests?)

St. Lukes po, !5 years old and above 7,953. 11-14 years old 3,923. 5-10 years old 2,774. 0-4 years old 2,217.

Additional:
MMR vaccine 1,300.

Pano ba malalaman if may scar sa lungs? Simple xray ba will do? May healthcard kasi ako dito, i can have check up sa radiologist before magmedical sa st lukes (to make sure na wala makita) haha. And by the way, applicable ya yung medical exam sa mga may health care provider?

Yes makikita sa x-ray. If you don't have a history of TB, then you don't need to worry about it anymore.

Hindi applicable ang outside medical exam, if you're referring to a regular physical checkup. However if you have a medical report about an existing health concern or film X-ray, you can bring that.

As of now, iom and st lukes bgc pinagpipilian ko. Iom is good for appointment, pero parang marami syang negative feedbacks e. Kesyo wala naman sakit ang applicant tapos yung results nya may sakit cya or yung iba daw nadedeny visa nila. St lukesm ok cya kaya lang yung crowd talaga ang problem plus ang byahe lalo na nga walang appointment.. so which is good?

Wow. Thank you bgc.

Very handy ang sagot mo bgc. One more question pleeeease... what time ang ideal time pumunta dun? Thaaaank youuuuu!
