hi

I was diagnosed with HCV Positive and underwent treatment with Pegasys and Ribavrin. Now my PCRs (Both Qualitative and Quantitative) are negative.

Can it effect my medical examination results for canadian immigration? I have not yet taken Medical Exams.

Please reply I am worried.

if you are related to medical profession then you will be assessed fro hep C & B otherwise no

Hi,

I have the same situation. My HCV is positive but my liver enzymes (ALT, AST) are normal and my PCR RNA is negative. Will I pass the immigration medical exam (Excessive Demand Exempt)? I've applied under spouse sponsorship category.

Any reply is appreciated.

Well I am in contact with people on other blogs and I need to find an answer before I undergo medical examination. So far different responses but no definite answer like

1. If ALTs / SGPT is normal, they do not investigate further.

2. I got in touch with a case similar to ours, and she was cleared after medicals (She informed the medical practitioner about her medical treatment and all status)

3. Medical profession is under more scrutiny

if you have any clues please exchange notes

Thank you

Just don worry about this. This is the conclusion I have found because invariably you cannot do anything about it :)
