Medical Exam For Spouse: Before or After?

Hello,

I'm sponsoring my Russian wife for PR but am completely confused about the medical process. I have read conflicting information on both the CIC website and here. She has read the same conflicting information in Russian.

Basically, do we apply for sponsorship and her PR and wait for the visa office to contact her concerning the medical exam, or does she take the medical exam first and include in the total application package?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I believe you are applying outland for your wife's PR, which basically means she is currently living in Russia, while you are in Canada. In that case, she ahs to get the medical exam done BEFORE you send your file. When she gets the exam done, they will give her a document that you will attach to your file. For spousal, medical is always done before and you must include proof with the application that the medical has been completed.
