Hi guys,

I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant. I checked with my family doctor and he said that it's not safe for me to do xray especially i'm still early in my pregnancy.

I tried to book an appointment with a panel physician. The doctor office told me that they can do the exam for me without the xray. However, they won't be able to submit partial test result to immigration and will have to wait till i give birth, do the xray and then they can submit everything.

I'm very confused. How does CIC know that i've done the medical exam, and the only reason i cannot do xray is because i'm pregnant?

First of Congratulations! you can submit the appointment letter or the letter they will gave you once you do your medicals and can write an LOE(letter of explanation) in your application explaining all of the above .

Thank you so much! This is very helpful :)

Congratulations

It is not advised to take an xray during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. You could either defer your medicals until after delivery and add your child to the application or you could wear an apron a little later on in your pregnancy and proceed with the xray if you are pressed for time.
