Hey folks,

I have been quite an idiot here. I received my CSQ and wanted to get everything done as quickly as possible in order to minimize my processing time at the federal stage. Hence, I got my meds done yesterday assuming the medical centre would send the results to my address so that I can send them to Sydney together with my federal application.

Now they told me that the results are being sent directly to the government. The problem though is...CIC doesn't even have my application yet. I will send it out ASAP but the fact is -- it's not there yet.

My question is: Will they hold on to the results even though they don't have any PR application at hand?

Maybe someone has been in a similar situation. Thanks in advance!

1. Yes, just send a copy of the receipt you received from the Panel Physician with your application. The results will be on-line.
2. Depending on the office you selected for processing the time frame could be anywhere from 18 months to 33 months, so you probably will have to have another medical.

Thanks so much for your quick response, PPM. That is quite relieving! :)

In another thread I read that another medical exam is only necessary if the applicant was suffering from a medical condition while taking the first exam. Apparently they do that in order to make sure the applicant's health has not gotten any worse (makes sense since health care is covered by the government over here). Therefore, being 24 years old and in perfect health, this shouldn't apply to me. ;)

No, the reason you will most likely have to do another medicals is that they have a one year expiration date. So, if your application takes more than a year (after the date this medical was done) to get processed, then you will have to get another medicals done.
