Hey everyone,

My sister in law is applying for a study permit (currently in Canada as a visitor) and we’re stuck. We have a panel physician in town and we’ve tried calling their office for 2 weeks and left messages and haven’t received a response. Is it possible to send study permit application away before receiving medical exam? We may have to travel to another city but my husband and I work and can’t just take time off suddenly to go bring her for appt (we can do it but it’ll possibly be a few weeks before we can). We’re just stressed because the cutoff for permit was almost 1 month ago and we’re already racing the clock. Any advice would be great! Thanks :)

Yes you can submit her application and either wait for the medical request from IRCC or do an upfront medicals when you can and send the e-medical info sheet via webform.
