My wife is Nominated for PNP in Nova Scotia and included me with her application for Permanent Resident. We were married 4months ago but i need to leave cause my 6months stay in canada is over, im a us citizen staying in the usa... I know i can get an open wrk permit in port of entry with my wife's wrkpermit and employment info so i can be with her while we wait for PR . My Question was since ill be in canada with the open work permit working, do you think i can take the medi exam (DMP) with my wife while inside canada if our Permanent Resident has been approve for principle if medical exam is needed, because back home in the usa the (DMP) is 2 states away or more then 500km and i dnt want to spend more on airline ticket and hotel, since im already in canada were the (DMP) is just taxi away?

You can complete the medical with DMP in Canada.

The DMP won't accept healthcare to cover the medical costs. It's still cheaper than the USA.

Thanks Amikety and Wilson for your response. Few more Question- at the port of entry in canada while asking for "open work permit" and showing my wife's wrkpermit and necessary documents will they ask for my medical since im asking for open wrk permit, ive read some threads about this is it true? (2)- is it ok to work in canada while waiting for my approval for PR. (3)- or should i visit canada then wait for first stage approval in PR and apply for open work permit.
