Hi
I just received a medical letter after 15 months, but it says "DO NOT SCHEDULE YOUR MEDICAL UNTIL SIX MONTH FROM THE DATE OF THIS LETTER, BACKGROUND CHECK PENDING".

Could any body describe this kind of situation, I don't know why its so delayed in Buffalo, their website say something else.
I would really appreciate if I get direction what should I do? can I contact the background check agency to expedite this or just wait and wait.
Please advice.

i have sympathy wid ur case....dont know y embassy doing this to the applicant...15 month is already too long and now they are asking to appear for medicals after six month, are they cracking a joke by sending this kind of letter...not sure whether to laugh or cry over this letter to you....

They only counts money. You might not bring with u hard cash. Fast track can fetch fast money. You will earn then pay. Very slow indeed......

DO you know the agent that is conducting the background check? Try to contact them will not do any good for you. I am sure that you will get you visa early next year and I will suggest you to relax and enjoy life.
Cheers,

That is the first time i have ever seen for someone to get his medical request with such a letter ! Usually they do not care in the visa office whether there are background checks pending or not. They send the medicals and conduct their deep background check "if needed", and then let the applicant wait until they get the results of his background checks even if his medicals get expired.

I think that is a new trend in Buffalo, to let the applicants who are going to go through deep background checks avoid getting their medicals expired.

Deep background check= file in the deep of stockpile(backlog)+ background check

I still do not understand this deep background check please can someone explain. My ecas was "received at visa office" for 7 months and just recently changed to "In Process" 2 months ago.

This is what deep background check that might delay the processing of an application means:

1- information and documents provided required independent verification.

2- consultation is required with other offices in Canada and abroad.

Thanks to everyone,
One other question I live in Canada on Work Permit, If I get married here with non immigrant and update my family status to Immigration Office in Buffalo, is it gonna affect the time line of my case? How worse?
or should I not declare my marriage until I get my PR.

Hope for the best. If they want you to wait, then its okay.
just curse the IO lol. let them do the background check.
You will do good eventually !

The Visa officer may ask you for extra documents to support your marriage and the application time may be prolonged.

No, if you marry before you get your PR you must notify the CIC. Otherwise if they find out they will cancel your PR.
