Hello, my husband and I are doing an inland sponsorship and it's taking forever. He's got high cholesterol and having some symptoms that are really worrying me (numbness on left side of brain and body periodically). We did the research, it's gonna cost 3000+$ to do the testing, which we would absolutely pay but I'm wondering what insurance would be the best for our position. We live in remote BC. He had travel insurance from the US but they ripped us off and wouldn't cover the blood work we paid $400 for (after they assured him they would when he first purchased it, they always find a loophole to break promises). Is there a reliable insurance company that won't rip us off when time comes to do a claim? I'd love to hear any stories or experiences you've had in this similar position. When we first started this process, it wasn't as bad but since he can't work and has no family or friends here, his mental health has been deteriorating and it's causing his physical health to sink. I need some solid feedback about your experiences. Thank you all in advance.
