Hi all, hope you are having a wonderful day.

I am scheduled to have my medical in about two week. I am very nervous because I don't know what they are going to test, and I hate clinics and hospitals.

Has anyone gone through one recently? Can you tell me what all they test? All I know is they want me to get a polio vaccination before I go to them, and that rest would be done on appointment day.

Does the level of testing differ with visa type (e.g. Family sponsor vs express entry)? Or with age (I'm in my mid 30s)?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

The info. is provided in your confirmation email from IOM. Here it is anyway:

Health Screening is comprises of following and according to visa class & age.
Blood Sampling (If required according to visa class)
· General physical examination.
· Chest X-ray according to age
· Urine examination according to age

Its not a big deal, just relax and you'll be fine.

Hello guys,

Has anyone recently tried to get an appointment from IOM Karachi ? I tried the whole day for the appointment today but could not get through their call center as it is always busy and put on hold for 30 minutes above. Plus, the email of IOM is not working as it sending a 'Failure Notice'.

Is this a normal occurring at IOM ? Any advice on how to get through to them for an appointment ? Do they accept walk-ins ?

Regards
