Hello Everyone.

I would like to ask forum's help on some medical issue.

How the mild epilepsy condition might affect medical admissibility assessment ?
How the medical costs are accessed?

Thank You so much for the answers..

Hello Everyone.
We would like to start immigration process under provincial stream. before spending great efforts and time,
I would like to ask forum's help on some medical issue that may prevent us moving to Canada.
My son (9) experienced 2 epileptic seizures during last 6 month at early morning hours, based on neuropathologist opinion, most likely
we are talking about Rolandic type epilepsy, easily controlled by medicine , and in 70% of the cases, the disease ceases at the age of 14-15.
(this type of epilepsy is the easiest one, does not require special care & does not happen very often)

How the medical condition of my son might affect our medical admissibility assessment ?

Thank You so much for the answers....

If his care/medication under provincial healthcare in Canada would exceed the value of $6,285 per year x 5 years care = $31,425, then your son could be declared medically inadmissible due to excessive demand.
So you can try to find out about average costs for children with his type of epilepsy, to see what the costs to healthcare would be. I'm not sure where you would accurately get this info.
